This one has had us excited for a while, a return to the small screen of one of our favourite shows growing up. It has been 15 years since we last paid a visit to Royston Vasey and it is back and even more disturbing than ever! Some things might have changed, such as the local shop no longer being there and it now has a food bank but the array of odd local residents is still as weird and wonderful as ever!
Last night’s episode was a brilliant return and from the moment a hedgehog blew up in a small girls face we knew it was going to be good! As dark and twisted as ever and tinged with sadness (if you didn’t slightly well up when you realised Pauline had dementia then you are lying or a heart of stone!). The first episode set the scene nicely for the 2 episodes still to come. But don’t just take our word for it, we had a mooch around Twitter to see how people were reacting to the special…
People seemed very excited it was back…

Like us they were hooked from the exploding hedehog…

I prefer ACRONYM: Actively Considering Re-assignment Or Not Yet Made your mind up".

The boobs made me cringe. The hedgehog made me laugh. The spines in her eyes made me wince. 5 minutes in and I'm so glad #LeagueofGentlemen is back 😄

and also saddened by Pauline…
When you get actually sad about Pauline’s ‘twist’ 😩 #LeagueofGentlemen
